So you have decided to make plans and attend one of our public estate liquidation sales. It’s your first time attending an auction and quite frankly your not too sure what to expect. Not to worry, below you will find our auction terms and conditions. In order to ensure you have a pleasant experience at our auction we invite you to take the time and go over our auction terms and conditions.
- Most of our estate auctions are Section Code 1988b which means the property was abandoned by tenant, therefore must be offered for public sale. Every sale is different sometimes we have a fully furnished estate other times it may only be a bookcase, clothes, and mattress. In general if there are not enough items to auction piece by piece, the auctioneer will sell the entire contents of the home for one price. What this means is the highest bidder will own all the contents that were forfeited by tenant with the exception of Appliances, Water Heater, anything that is attached to the real estate is not part of the auction.
- Winning bidder is responsible to pay for his or her purchase immediately following the auction. Payment is accepted in the form of CASH only. It is the responsibility of the bidder to provide a valid California ReSale Number in order to avoid paying sales tax. However please note that a resell number is not required to attend our auctions. Our auctions are open to the public and if you are the winning bidder and you do not hold a resell number this just means you will be obligated to pay sales tax on your purchase.
- Check out is immediately following the auction. Winning bidder must make arrangements to remove purchased property. The auctioneer will remain for a period of thirty minutes after the auction is completed. Therefore it is the buyers responsibility to make arrangements with landlord to redeem the remainder of property. If buyer does make arrangements all remaining property will be disposed. Please come ready to haul your purchases.
These are the basic auction terms and conditions for our estate auctions, as noted earlier please use these conditions as a rule of thumb. If you have any questions please read our faq’s or Contact Us .
